Alterations Agreeement

ALTERATIONS POLICY 


By accepting alterations done from our store by our third-party tailor service (i.e. the tailor) you are automatically agreeing to this Alterations Policy.

1. We do not do alterations. Our third-party Tailor performs this service.

2. All ordered dresses require alterations most of the time (unless the dress sent from the manufacturer fits you perfectly at your first fitting and is immediately released to you the customer).

3. Once the dress or garment is released to the customer and leaves the store, we (or our tailor) are not responsible for any incorrect sizing or alterations adjustments. To prevent misunderstandings we recommend the owner of the dress or garment to use our dressing room and verify desired fit after alterations done. There are no exceptions!! There are no refunds on alterations. All Alterations Orders are Final!!

4. Alterations are not included in the dress price and are calculated separately. You need to place an alterations order before any alterations can be started on your dress or garment.

5. Our tailor's alterations can only adjust existing fabric on the dress or garment. No fabric additions to an existing dress or garment is permitted. There are no exceptions!!!

6. To preserve our alterations service quality, we reserve the right to deny any alterations for any dress purchased and not purchased from us for any reason. This frequently applies for dresses or garments where intricacy is too complex or characteristics (e.g. fabric type, color, additional materials, etc) are unavailable for our tailoring service. If alterations are not feasible at all for your dress or garment, we will recommend going back to the place of purchase and ask for such service.  

7. We will not guarantee a "perfect fit" (even our tailor has performed any alterations on your dress or garment). Our tailor's goal is to improve the fit of your dress or garment while staying within your original body measurements and budget. There are times when a dress or garmer is very intricate and could require additional alterations to get it as close as possible to your original body measurements. Each additional alteration is priced separately by the tailor accordingly.   

8. Be Aware!! It's easier to take in, than to let out. Body measurements can change in a matter of weeks. We recommend you stay under your original body measurements documented in your order and until your formal event day occurs. If this does not occur and body measurements exceed what we have documented we cannot help you at that point. We would recommend a girdle to compensate for the unexpected change. 9. After we authorize your dress or garment for alteration(s) with our tailor you accept this alterations service "as is" and without any warranty or refund after the final fitting. Note: We (Lupita's Bridal House) is not responsible for any work done by the tailor as we are two completely separate business entities.

11. Dress must be paid in full before we can release it to the tailor for alterations service.

12. The cost of alterations is based on the complexity and intricacy of each task. 

13. Remember, no two bodies are exactly the same shape and no two dress manufacturer's sizes are the same. 

14. If your dress has already been pinned, alterations have not started, and you miss your appointment or cancel the alterations altogether, it will result in a $45 penalty fee (or it will be subtracted it from your last deposit if we can not reach you).

15. Your garment or dress may leave the store for the tailor's location for  professionally altering if necessary.

16. The required turnaround time depends on the intricacy of the alteration. Please allow 2 to 8 weeks for alterations turnaround time.

17. Once alterations on your dress or garmet is completed we will attempt to call you to schedule a final fitting. It is your responsibility to provide a good callback phone number so we can reach you. We will make the best effort to call you at least one time.

18. To protect the quality of this service, all alterations must be authorized by Lupita's Bridal House management in order to guarantee the alteration(s) requirements and price. In the event this is not met and you decide to seek an external tailor to work on your dress or garment, will automatically result in your dress or garment deemed as "fitted" and released to you in "as is" condition. We will not be responsible for any additional fees, alteration issues, or misunderstandings between you and the third party tailor at that point. There are no exceptions!!

19. Your garment will be altered with high quality tailoring specialists, however, on rare occasions, the garment can be damaged when trying to make alterations. We (Lupita's Bridal House and the tailor) are not responsible for any damage done to the dress as a result of such alterations if these are the result of complex alterations and / or human error on the tailor's part (including the tailors work environment).

20. We pride ourselves on the quality of tailor's alterations, however alterations are not guaranteed after been paid in full and your dress or garment has already left our store. Like any formal wear clothing, reasonable & normal wear is recommended at all times to avoid torn seams and tears. If you damage your garment, a new alteration order & fee will be required, and its feasibility will depend on the intricacy of the alteration after the event's day.

21. For any concerns regarding intricate alterations we will direct you to the tailor since she is responsible for your dress or clothing alterations.
